Job description
Job Summary
The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator plays a crucial role in promoting and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards within the organization. This position is essential for fostering a safe work environment and minimizing risks to employees and the environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide training and support to employees regarding EHS practices and regulations.
- Analyze EHS data and prepare reports for management review.
- Collaborate with various departments to implement safety initiatives.
- Respond to incidents and accidents; investigate causes and suggest preventive measures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an EHS role or similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of environmental laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Certifications in EHS (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are considered a plus.
