Commodity Specialist
Pay: $25/HR
Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Type: Onsite
Commodity Specialist Position Overview:
Designs, implements, and administers commodity acquisition strategies, including procurement support, commodity business plans, market trend assessments, pricing, and product availability. Develops negotiation strategies that create mutually beneficial relationships between the company and suppliers while supporting the identification of new, high-potential suppliers.
Commodity Specialist Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support commodity acquisition strategies, business plans, and procurement activities.
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and product availability to support purchasing decisions.
- Develop negotiation strategies to establish strong, mutually beneficial supplier relationships.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating new, high-potential suppliers.
- Interact regularly with internal peers and customers to exchange information and present factual data.
- Build and maintain stable working relationships across the organization.
- Analyze routine issues and data using established practices, procedures, and guidelines.
- Complete assigned work with moderate levels of control and review while following detailed instructions as needed.
Commodity Specialist Qualifications:
- Ability to learn and apply professional concepts.
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelors Degree
