Job description
The Epic Analyst plays a crucial role in the design, setup, testing, execution, and maintenance of Epic applications to guarantee the effective and dependable functioning of clinical and business systems. This position serves as a liaison among end users, technical teams, and operational management to enhance workflows and provide solutions that support the objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate business and clinical processes to discover areas for improvement and system enhancement.
- Set up, develop, and oversee Epic modules adhering to best practices and organizational standards.
- Engage with stakeholders to collect requirements and translate them into actionable specifications.
- Create and implement thorough test plans, verify system modifications, and document results.
- Offer continuous system support, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues in collaboration with IT and users.
- Involve in system updates, patches, and the introduction of new features, ensuring operations remain undisturbed.
- Conduct end-user training and produce relevant documentation.
- Ensure system integrity, compliance, and adherence to security and privacy protocols.
- Keep abreast of Epic updates, industry advancements, and regulatory changes to proactively suggest improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Preferred: Current Epic certification in one or more modules.
- At least 2 years of experience in supporting or implementing Epic systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in handling multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
