Job Summary
The Greenhouse Laboratory Technician plays a pivotal role in the maintenance and management of greenhouse facilities. This position focuses on the cultivation of plants for both research and production purposes, ensuring optimal growth conditions and quality in the results achieved.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of greenhouse maintenance and plant care.
- Monitor environmental conditions and adjust as necessary to promote healthy plant growth.
- Conduct experiments and research involving various plant species.
- Record data accurately and maintain detailed reports on greenhouse activities.
- Support other team members in executing research projects and managing plant health.
- Implement pest management strategies and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Possession of a relevant degree in horticulture, botany, or a closely related field.
- Experience working in a greenhouse or laboratory setting is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data entry and management of greenhouse recordkeeping.
