Job Summary
The Grinding Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining grinding machines to produce precise components according to specifications. This role is essential for ensuring quality and efficiency in the production process during the first shift, with a focus on meeting production goals while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate grinding machinery according to production requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of grinding equipment.
- Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency and workflow.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a machinist, especially with grinding machines.
- Strong understanding of machining processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
