Job Summary
The Heavy Truck Field Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment in a variety of settings. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work independently in the field, ensuring that all service and repair tasks are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on-site for heavy trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance and system checks to ensure vehicles remain operational.
- Repair or replace defective parts and components as necessary.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate service needs and troubleshoot complex problems.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a heavy-duty truck mechanic or related role.
- In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair techniques, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on-site.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and appropriate certifications for heavy equipment repair.
