The Histologist plays a crucial role in the examination and analysis of biological tissues. This professional is responsible for preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination, aiding in the diagnosis of diseases. Responsibilities
- Prepare, cut, and stain tissue samples for microscopic investigation.
- Collaborate with pathologists to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functioning.
- Analyze and interpret histological data.
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Document all processes and results accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in histotechnology or a related field.
- Certification from a recognized histotechnology board.
- Proven experience in a histology laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in results.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
