They serve as advocates and mentors, empowering individuals to gain independence and forge significant connections within the community. Applicants must be residents of Iowa, hold a valid driver’s license, have dependable transportation, and provide a private bedroom in their residence. Furthermore, candidates are required to successfully clear state and federal background checks and complete all necessary training.
