Job Summary
The Host Home / Shared Living Provider plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with unique needs by offering a safe and nurturing home environment. This position involves not only providing care but also facilitating the personal growth and development of individuals in a shared living arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals in their daily activities and foster their independence.
- Create a warm and welcoming home atmosphere that promotes well-being.
- Assist in implementing individual care plans tailored to each person’s needs.
- Engage residents in community activities and help them build social connections.
- Monitor and document the progress and challenges faced by residents, ensuring open communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
- Knowledge of the developmental needs and challenges of individuals with disabilities.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR are advantageous.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
