Job Summary
The Injection Mold Technician is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of injection molds to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality products. This role involves working closely with engineers and production teams to optimize molding operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Set up and adjust injection molding machinery and molds according to specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance on molds and equipment to prevent downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mold issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
- Monitor production runs to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve mold design and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and maintenance activities.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mold technology is preferred.
- Proven experience as an injection mold technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mold setup and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards in manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
