Job Summary
The Interventional Neuro & Vascular Technologist plays a crucial role in the diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to neurovascular and vascular conditions. They work closely with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care during various interventions, using advanced imaging techniques and specialized equipment to assist in procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures by providing technical support and patient care.
- Utilize imaging equipment and tools to facilitate diagnostic evaluations and treatment.
- Ensure that all equipment is prepared and functioning correctly prior to procedures.
- Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout interventions.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop best practices for patient care and intervention techniques.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks during procedures.
Qualifications
- Certified as a registered vascular technologist or in a related field.
- Experience in an interventional environment, particularly in neurovascular settings.
- Strong understanding of imaging technologies and equipment used in vascular procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with patients and team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
