Job Description Interventional Radiology Nurse (RN)
Location: Cleveland, OH
Schedule: Days/40 hrs
Compensation: $65/hr (local) or $72/hr (travel) The Interventional Radiology Nurse provides nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as angiograms, biopsies, stent placements, embolizations, and catheter insertions. They work closely with interventional radiologists and the procedural team to ensure patient safety before, during, and after procedures. Interventional Radiology RN Key Responsibilities:
Review patient medical history and lab results
Start IV lines
Administer pre-procedure medications
Provide patient education and obtain informed consent
Monitor vital signs and cardiac rhythms
Administer moderate (conscious) sedation
Maintain sterile field and assist physician
Manage emergency situations if complications arise
Document medications, sedation levels, and patient response
Provide discharge instructions
- Coordinate follow-up care
On Call Requirement: 2 weekends (Sat-Sun) and one week night per month
Interventional Radiology RN Key Requirements:
- 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology RN experience
- OH or Compact License
- BLS and ACLS
