Job Summary
A new opportunity has emerged for a Laboratory Operations Manager, also referred to as Lab Manager, at a medium-sized general medical and surgical hospital situated in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. This facility is recognized for its excellence in patient safety, having achieved an “A” Hospital Safety Grade. The hospital provides a wide array of medical services and strives for high standards in operational efficiency and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily laboratory operations to ensure optimal efficiency and adherence to safety standards.
- Oversee laboratory staff, fostering an environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and accreditation standards relevant to laboratory practices.
- Implement quality control and assurance measures to maintain high service standards.
- Develop and manage budgets related to laboratory operations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare departments to facilitate effective patient care and service delivery.
- Monitor laboratory performance and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- A degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a laboratory management role or similar position.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory regulations, accreditation, and quality control processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse healthcare teams.
