Lead Engineering Technician
Wilmington, DE
$38/hour We are seeking a skilled Lead Engineering Technician to support engineering and manufacturing operations through the design, development, testing, and maintenance of automated production machinery and instrumentation systems. This role works closely with engineers and scientists to validate new manufacturing processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop technical documentation. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and within a collaborative team environment. Lead Engineering Technician Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to design, develop, and test automated production machinery
- Develop and construct test equipment to validate new manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control failures
- Create electrical diagrams and control circuits suitable for maintenance and service personnel
Lead Engineering Technician Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science degree or higher, OR successful completion of a 4-year apprenticeship program, OR equivalent formal military training
- Strong understanding of instrumentation principles and automated systems
- Proficiency with relevant design software; SolidWorks Electrical preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team
