Job Summary
The role focuses on spearheading the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data products for enterprise use. This position necessitates active technical guidance throughout the phases of solution design, implementation, code evaluations, troubleshooting tasks, and ensuring production readiness. A key component is establishing standards in data engineering, championing ethical AI-assisted practices, enhancing data quality and integrity, and providing mentorship to fellow engineers while collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of scalable enterprise data products.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle including design, implementation, and code review.
- Troubleshoot issues and ensure production readiness of the solutions.
- Establish and uphold data engineering standards across projects.
- Promote and implement responsible AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Enhance the quality and reliability of data solutions.
- Mentor and guide engineering team members.
- Collaborate with business and technology partners to align on project goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software or data engineering.
- Formal education or certification related to software engineering principles.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and distributed data processing.
- Proficiency in developing production-grade enterprise data solutions.
- Strong programming skills and a solid foundation in data architecture and modeling.
- Demonstrated ability in technical leadership and responsible application of AI-assisted development tools.
