Job description
Job Summary
The Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting healthcare providers by performing various clinical and administrative tasks to ensure effective patient care and smooth operational flow within the healthcare facility.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with clinical duties, including taking patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during various procedures.
- Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Coordinate appointments and patient follow-ups as necessary.
- Perform routine administrative tasks such as managing phone calls and processing paperwork.
- Support in ensuring cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
- Certification by a relevant medical assisting authority is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
