Job Summary
The Medical Equipment Technician is responsible for the delivery, installation, and upkeep of respiratory and home medical equipment. This role emphasizes educating patients on the safe and effective use of these devices, ensuring their understanding and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and set up respiratory and home medical equipment for patients.
- Educate patients on the proper and safe usage of medical devices.
- Conduct patient assessments to gather relevant information.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Manage equipment repairs, including necessary documentation of services performed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- A valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
- Preferred candidates will have one to two years of experience in healthcare, field service, or roles involving customer interaction.
