Job description
**Job Title: Mental Health Technician**
The Mental Health Technician is responsible for delivering direct patient assistance and support in an inpatient psychiatric environment, working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Key duties involve conducting safety checks, observing and recording vital signs, documenting patient encounters, and fostering a therapeutic atmosphere. Applicants are required to have a valid Registered Nursing Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant license along with a minimum of one year of experience in direct mental health patient care. Additional qualifications include certification in Basic Life Support, possession of a food handler’s permit, and the capability to secure an Agency Affiliated Counselor credential.
