Job Summary
The Night Shift RN position in the MedSurg department is vital for delivering exceptional patient care during nighttime hours in a medical-surgical environment. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering treatments, and collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal care is delivered.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a surgical and medical setting during the night shift.
- Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs, responding promptly to changes in patient status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
- Coordinate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Current state license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience in a MedSurg setting is highly desirable.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
