Job Summary
This position is located within a medical-surgical unit featuring a total of 45 beds, including 28 telemetry beds. The staffing ratio is designed to maintain patient safety and care quality, with a focus on delivering exceptional nursing support. The role includes collaboration with virtual nurse assistants across the hospital to enhance care delivery and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage the care of patients within the medical-surgical unit, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Oversee nursing staff with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4 to 1:6, optimizing staff allocation based on patient needs.
- Utilize virtual nurse assistance as a resource for patient monitoring and support throughout the hospital.
- Implement and adhere to best practices in patient care and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and execute patient care plans.
Qualifications
- Active nursing license and relevant certifications.
- Experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry nursing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure high-quality patient care under varying workloads.
