Job Summary
The MRI Technologist plays a crucial role in utilizing MRI equipment to create high-quality diagnostic images, all while prioritizing the safety and comfort of patients. This position involves the upkeep of the MRI machines, adherence to specific physician directives, and the management of patient data within the Radiology Information System.
Responsibilities
- Operate MRI scanners to acquire diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment as needed.
- Follow detailed instructions from physicians regarding imaging protocols.
- Manage and update patient records within the Radiology Information System.
Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Graduation from an AMA-accredited radiography program.
- Current registration with ARRT or ARMRIT.
- State licensure as per local regulations.
- Valid CPR certification.
