Job Summary
The City of Middletown is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to oversee and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure. This role is vital for ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of network services across all departments in the City.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the City’s local area network (LAN) to ensure continuous operation.
- Implement and uphold cybersecurity measures to protect network assets.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and upgrades.
- Document network configurations and maintain accurate inventory of network components.
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in network administration, including knowledge of networking hardware and software.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Certifications related to networking (such as Cisco or CompTIA) are preferred.
