Job Summary
The Night Shift Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality care during the night hours. This position is essential for ensuring that patients receive comprehensive medical attention when daytime staff is not present. The RN will monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and communicate effectively with both patients and the healthcare team to promote optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients’ health conditions throughout the night shift.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as per the care plan.
- Document patient progress and changes in condition accurately.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care procedures.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the applicable state.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting is advantageous.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
