Job Summary
The Night Shift X-ray/CT Technologist is responsible for conducting imaging procedures during evening and overnight hours. This role requires a skilled professional who can operate X-ray and CT equipment with precision, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients throughout the imaging process. The technologist will collaborate with healthcare teams to provide accurate diagnostic images while adhering to established protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray and CT imaging procedures on patients as per physician orders.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging examinations.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment effectively, adhering to quality control standards.
- Review and assess images for quality before they are sent for interpretation.
- Document patient interactions and imaging results accurately in the medical records system.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists and other medical staff to provide comprehensive care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Active certification as an X-ray and CT technologist.
- Current registration with a recognized professional body.
- Experience in performing X-ray and CT imaging procedures.
- Strong knowledge of imaging technology and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
