Job Summary
The Night Shift X-ray/CT Technologist operates imaging equipment to conduct diagnostic imaging procedures during nighttime hours. This role is vital to ensuring high standards of patient care and accurate imaging results, facilitating effective treatment decisions for medical professionals.
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray and CT scans, guaranteeing correct procedures are adhered to.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes and positioning them appropriately.
- Maintain imaging equipment, ensuring it operates effectively and is well-maintained.
- Document and report any irregularities or concerns noted during imaging.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure thorough patient care.
- Adhere to safety policies and regulations to protect patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Registration as an X-ray Technologist and/or CT Technologist in accordance with state regulations.
- Proven experience in diagnostic imaging, particularly in X-ray and CT modalities.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic and imaging principles and protocols.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts while maintaining high-quality patient service.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to make patients feel at ease.
