Job Summary
The Night Shift X-ray/CT Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures during night hours. This role is critical in providing high-quality imaging services to support patient diagnosis and treatment in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of X-ray and CT examinations on patients according to established protocols.
- Ensure the proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while prioritizing their comfort and safety.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality results.
- Adhere to safety practices and standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare professionals to deliver effective patient care.
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advances in imaging technology.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Current and active certification by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
- State licensure as required by law.
- Strong understanding of imaging techniques and patient care protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently during night shifts.
