Job Summary
The position of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within the Hospital Medicine Specialty Team is focused on Inpatient Diabetes and Glycemic Management at Emory University Hospital Midtown in Atlanta, GA. The role includes a commitment of 12 shifts per month, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced practice clinical care to hospitalized patients with diabetes and other glycemic disorders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient management and ensure high-quality care.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and families about diabetes and glycemic management strategies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the hospital medicine specialty team.
Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
- Experience in hospital medicine or a related field is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills are essential.
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
