Job Summary
The Operating Room Technician is a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for ensuring that the operating room remains sterile and well-equipped. This role involves providing surgeons with the necessary instruments and supplies throughout surgical procedures, as well as preparing and maintaining the surgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile fields during surgical operations.
- Provide the appropriate instruments and supplies to surgeons as needed.
- Set up the surgical suite and ensure cleanliness.
- Assist in the preparation and transportation of patients.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an Operating Room Technician training program.
- 12 to 18 months of experience in an acute care operating room setting is required.
