Job Summary
The position of OR06RN focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care during surgical procedures in the operating room, particularly in the fields of Urology, Gynecology, General Surgery, and Ophthalmology. The role involves the effective use of the Davinci XI surgical system and requires a proficient scrub nurse who ensures a sterile environment while providing assistance to the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Participate actively in surgical procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control standards.
- Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals during operations.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
- Document all necessary information pre- and post-surgery related to patient care.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with relevant certifications.
- Experience in an operating room environment, preferably with the Davinci XI system.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols in Urology, Gynecology, General Surgery, and Eye procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced surgical setting.
