Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated OR32RN to join our team for weekend shifts, specializing in orthopedics, neurology, and general surgery. This role is vital for ensuring high-quality patient care during surgical procedures and supporting the surgical team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including orthopedic, neurological, and general surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Prepare the operating room and ensure that all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Monitor patient vitals and support anesthesia as per protocols and standards.
- Adhere to infection control measures and safety protocols throughout the surgical process.
- Provide emotional support to patients and address any concerns they may have prior to surgery.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license.
- Preferred experience in operating room nursing, particularly in orthopedic, neurology, and general surgical settings.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is desirable.
