Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and distribution of both sterile and non-sterile medications, ensuring that drug records are meticulously maintained. This position involves a variety of tasks including managing patient profiles and performing essential data entry duties, in addition to addressing third-party billing issues and insurance rejections.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with the preparation and distribution of medications.
- Maintain accurate records of drug usage and inventory.
- Manage patient profiles to ensure proper medication tracking.
- Conduct data entry tasks effectively and with precision.
- Address and resolve third-party billing and insurance rejection issues.
Qualifications
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated strong mathematical abilities.
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently.
- Required registration with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) necessary before employment.
