Job Summary
The role involves delivering patient care and oversight under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). This includes assisting patients with their personal hygiene, mobility, various procedures, emergency situations, and handling clinical equipment. The position is essential in ensuring the comfort and safety of patients throughout their care journey.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and mobility needs.
- Support medical procedures and respond to emergencies.
- Document and report patient data accurately.
- Transport patients and specimens as required.
- Facilitate patient admissions and discharges.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and healing environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
- One year of hands-on patient care experience is essential.
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program is required.
- A valid Georgia CNA license or current enrollment in a nursing program with at least two completed clinical rotations is necessary.
