Job description

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist is required to provide specialized care for patients during weekend hours on a casual or per diem basis. The role demands a skilled professional who can assess, plan, and implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patient recovery and functional abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations to determine patient needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Implement individual treatment strategies to promote mobility and alleviate pain.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust therapies as necessary in collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • Educate patients and their families about exercises and lifestyle modifications to facilitate recovery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Valid state license for physical therapy practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in direct patient care, particularly in outpatient settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and adapt to varying patient caseloads.
