Job Summary
The Plant Operator will engage in specific duties and responsibilities essential to the manufacturing environment of the company in Lancaster, TX. This role involves working with various construction chemicals throughout the manufacturing and shipping processes while effectively operating a range of equipment. The position also demands routine maintenance, forklift operation, and conducting quality control tests, ensuring that all activities align with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the blending and mixing processes of chemical admixtures.
- Unload raw materials from different delivery methods according to detailed site instructions (including bulk tankers, pallets, drums, and totes).
- Load bulk trucks and diverse packaged products with finished items as per site directives.
- Utilize a forklift to carry out various operational tasks.
- Conduct tests and inspections on raw materials and finished goods to confirm compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain and clean equipment within the designated area of operation.
- Adhere to the use of prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols diligently.
- Complete all required training on environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) regulations.
- Comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing setting is desirable.
- Forklift operating experience is advantageous.
Skills and Knowledge
- Competency in basic mathematics.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow work instructions effectively.
- Team-oriented individual capable of independent work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
