Job description
Job Summary
The Progressive Care Unit/Stepdown Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients who require observation and monitoring following more intensive treatment. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess patients recovering from illness or procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families about health management and recovery processes.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state.
- Experience in a progressive care or stepdown unit environment is preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
