Job Summary
The Resident Medication Associate for the 3rd shift is essential in delivering medication management and support to residents in a community setting. This role plays a vital part in ensuring residents receive their medications correctly and timely, thus contributing to their overall well-being and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate medication records for each resident, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Assist in monitoring residents for side effects or reactions to medications.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and families regarding residents’ medication needs.
- Provide support in medication storage and safety procedures.
- Participate in training and development opportunities related to medication management.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification as a Medication Aide or a similar qualification preferred.
- Experience in assisted living, nursing, or a similar healthcare environment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication abilities, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
