Job Summary
The Residential Counselor MAP will provide essential support and guidance to individuals in residential living environments. This role is focused on fostering a safe, nurturing atmosphere, promoting personal development, and empowering residents to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents in daily living activities and facilitate their engagement in recreational and therapeutic programs.
- Provide mentorship and guidance, promoting self-sufficiency and independence.
- Maintain a positive environment and address residents’ behavioral and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with the treatment team.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including documentation of resident progress.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with diverse populations in a residential or therapeutic setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with residents.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing situations.
- Required certifications such as CPR and First Aid may be necessary.
