Job description
Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and managing patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. This role demands both clinical proficiency and keen patient interaction, ensuring optimal care for individuals facing respiratory challenges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ respiratory health.
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and management strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to improve patient outcomes.
- Document all procedures and maintain accurate medical records.
Qualifications
- A valid state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Strong knowledge of respiratory equipment and treatment techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
