Job Summary
The Respiratory Therapy Neonatal Pediatric specialist plays a critical role in providing respiratory care to neonatal and pediatric patients. This position involves working closely with a team of health professionals to assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans that improve the respiratory health of infants and children.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and monitor the respiratory status of neonatal and pediatric patients.
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to devise effective treatment plans.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and home management.
- Document patient care activities accurately and consistently.
- Utilize advanced respiratory equipment and technologies as required.
Qualifications
- Holds a valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification.
- Specialization in neonatal and pediatric care is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support patient education.
- Experience in critical care settings is an advantage.
