Job Summary
The Clinical Educator for the Emergency Department (ED) is tasked with enhancing the clinical skills and knowledge of nursing staff. This role focuses on developing and implementing educational programs that promote best practices and improve patient care within the ED environment.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver educational offerings for ED nursing personnel.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to assess educational needs and develop corresponding training solutions.
- Implement ongoing competency assessments to ensure staff proficiency.
- Facilitate orientation programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state where practice will occur.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred; advanced degrees are an advantage.
- Extensive experience in emergency nursing or a clinical educator role.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and a passion for teaching and mentoring.
