Job description
Job Summary
The Senior Accountant will play a vital role within the finance team, overseeing and managing accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. This position demands high attention to detail and offers opportunities for leadership within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting and ensure timely submission of financial statements.
- Oversee the month-end close process and reconciliations.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate audits and respond to information requests from auditors.
- Implement and enhance accounting processes and systems for efficiency.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
