Job Summary
The Senior Living Activities Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing engaging activities and programs that promote the well-being of residents in a senior living environment. This role emphasizes enhancing the quality of life for seniors through diverse and enriching experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate daily and special event activities for residents.
- Collaborate with staff to create programs that align with residents’ interests and preferences.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, adjusting as necessary to meet the needs of residents.
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that encourages resident participation.
- Engage with residents and their families to gather feedback and incorporate suggestions into programming.
- Manage budgets and resources allocated for activity planning and execution.
- Train and supervise activity staff and volunteers.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in activity planning or recreational therapy, preferably within a senior living setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with seniors and their families.
- Creative skills for designing engaging and diverse activities.
- Organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and events simultaneously.
- Knowledge of senior health issues and the ability to tailor activities to meet varying needs.
