Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor plays a critical role in leading the Environmental Services team to ensure that hospital facilities are kept clean and maintained in accordance with established quality and safety protocols. This position is pivotal in managing resources effectively and ensuring smooth operations within the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct the Environmental Services staff to maintain cleanliness across hospital areas.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in all cleaning processes.
- Manage cleaning equipment and control the inventory of supplies.
- Coordinate staffing levels to optimize patient flow and service delivery.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of experience in Environmental Services or a healthcare setting is required.
- A valid driver’s license is necessary.
- A high school diploma is preferred, with an associate or bachelor’s degree considered advantageous.
- Professional certifications such as CHESP are highly valued.
