Job Summary
The role involves the collection and preparation of biological specimens at client locations, with an emphasis on maintaining sample integrity, ensuring proper labeling, completing requisition forms, and adhering to chain of custody protocols.
Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare biological specimens while ensuring the highest sample quality.
- Accurately label specimens and complete all necessary requisition forms.
- Maintain accurate records and verify insurance details for patients.
- Process applicable patient payments efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with clients and sales managers regarding specimen collection.
- Follow established compliance and safety procedures rigorously.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or a minimum of three years of blood collection experience.
- State certification is required where applicable.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Basic computer skills, including a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
- Experience in the medical field is preferred.
