Job Summary
The role involves the design, development, and management of scalable cryptographic services tailored for a multi-tenant SaaS platform. This encompasses overseeing the entire lifecycle of certificates, managing keys, distributing secrets, and ensuring workload identity. A key aspect of the position is leading secure design initiatives and threat modeling, evaluating the integration of AI/ML in security measures, aiding in incident response efforts, and providing mentorship to fellow engineers.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cryptographic services in a multi-tenant SaaS architecture.
- Manage the lifecycle of certificates and oversee key management systems.
- Ensure secure secrets distribution and enforce workload identity frameworks.
- Lead initiatives on secure design and conduct threat modeling exercises.
- Evaluate the application of AI and ML technologies in security contexts.
- Support and participate in incident response activities.
- Mentor and guide engineering teams in best practices and security principles.
Qualifications
- Minimum of eight years of experience in professional software engineering.
- Proficient in Java, Go, or a similar strongly typed programming language at production scale.
- Experience in operating Kubernetes services within a SaaS framework.
- Solid understanding of cryptographic principles and security-first engineering methodologies.
- Preferred experience in cryptography or PKI and exposure to regulated environments.
- Familiarity with applied AI/ML in security contexts and post-quantum cryptography.
- Demonstrated history of mentoring engineers and fostering their development.
