Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Operations Manager is responsible for the oversight of the sterile processing department, ensuring all instruments, equipment, and materials undergo proper sterilization processes to meet health and safety standards. This role is essential in maintaining quality control and compliance within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the sterile processing department to ensure efficient workflow.
- Implement and monitor sterilization protocols in accordance with industry standards.
- Lead training programs for staff on best practices in sterile processing.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and quality assurance measures are in place.
- Coordinate with other departments to guarantee that the sterile processing needs are met timely.
- Manage the inventory of sterile supplies and equipment.
- Address and resolve issues related to sterile processing operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sterile processing or a related field.
- Strong understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control.
- Effective leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications, such as Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST), preferred.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
