Job Summary
VLMK is currently in search of an experienced Structural Engineer who possesses between 6 to 12 years of relevant expertise. This position is based in Portland, Oregon and requires onsite work. The role focuses on guiding projects through various phases of design and construction while ensuring effective communication with clients throughout the entire process.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the structural design process from concept through construction.
- Engage in direct communication with clients to understand their needs and deliver appropriate solutions.
- Ensure that projects comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
- Review and approve construction documents.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Proficient in the use of design software and engineering calculations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
