Job Summary
The role of the SUDP/SUDPT Assessor is to evaluate and assess individuals with substance use disorders and ensure they receive appropriate treatment. This includes conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing support to clients throughout their recovery journey.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed assessments of clients with substance use disorders to determine their needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and their families about substance use disorders and recovery options.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments and treatment.
- Stay updated on developments in the field of substance use treatment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) or Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT).
- Strong knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Experience in a clinical or counseling setting preferred.
