Supply Chain Specialist
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Weekend rotation required
Compensation: $22 per hour
Position Overview
The Supply Chain Specialist plays a crucial role in the effective management of the receipt, storage, restocking, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment across the facility. This position is integral to daily operations by ensuring inventory accuracy, handling supply requisitions, and delivering outstanding customer service in compliance with organizational protocols.
Primary Duties
- Store and restock supplies in clean areas, carts, and specific supply zones, adhering to the correct inventory rotation guidelines.
- Utilize inventory scanning to create replenishment orders for both stock and non-stock items.
- Select, prepare, and distribute supplies for Case Carts, Exchange Carts, Code (Crash) Carts, and procedural carts/trays.
- Keep an eye on supply areas for expired or recalled items and ensure their removal according to company guidelines.
- Distribute oxygen tanks and certain medical equipment as required.
- Deliver supplies and packages to various nursing units, clinics, and departments, using proper tracking and signature methods.
- Address customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels professionally and promptly.
- Manage inventory issues and credits within the ERP system, ensuring precise cost allocation.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory and maintain necessary documentation.
- Assist with cycle counts, physical inventory assessments, and initiatives aimed at improving inventory accuracy.
- Leverage handheld scanners, package tracking systems, and various inventory management technologies.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work setting, maintaining order and full stock in supply areas.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in supply chain, inventory, warehouse, or materials management is necessary.
