Job Summary
The Surgical Technician plays a vital role in the operating room, supporting surgical teams and ensuring that procedures are conducted efficiently and safely. This specialist is responsible for preparing the sterile environment and assisting in various surgical processes, ensuring that the necessary instruments are readily available for the surgeons and medical staff. Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by ensuring that all necessary surgical instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgical process, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor the patient’s condition during surgery and assist with any needs that may arise.
- Clean and sterilize equipment and instruments post-surgery.
Qualifications
- Completion of a Surgical Technology program or equivalent training.
- Certification from an accredited surgical technology certification body.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations and as part of a dedicated team.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
