Job Summary
We are looking for meticulous Surgical Technologists to become a vital part of our dedicated Operating Room (OR) team in Glens Falls, New York. The primary objective of this role is to facilitate a sterile and effective surgical environment, ensuring patient safety and optimal operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgical teams by preparing and maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
- Support patient care through effective positioning and preparation.
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies, including handling sterilization and organization.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth operation during surgeries.
- Monitor the safety and performance of all surgical tools, including sharps.
- Help in the collection and disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is preferred.
- Previous experience in an operating room setting is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with medical staff.
