Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a vital role in the operating room by assisting surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures. This position is crucial for maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring that all necessary instruments are prepared and available for use during operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during operations by preparing the operating room and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Ensure a sterile environment by efficiently sterilizing instruments and maintaining cleanliness in the surgical area.
- Support the surgical team in maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
- Monitor the surgical field, anticipating the needs of the surgeons and other team members.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and techniques.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make quick decisions.
