Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring that the operating room is well-prepared and that the necessary instruments are correctly sterilized. This position involves working closely with surgeons and other medical staff to facilitate successful surgical interventions while prioritizing patient safety and care.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain the operating room to ensure it is ready for surgical procedures.
  • Assist in sterilizing surgical instruments and ensuring they are readily available for use.
  • Support the surgical team by providing necessary instruments during operations.
  • Promote patient safety throughout the surgical process.
  • Contribute to decision-making processes related to patient care and surgical efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
  • Knowledge of sterilization techniques and instrument handling.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and maintain focus during surgeries.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with the surgical team.
