Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist – OR plays a crucial role in the surgical team by ensuring a sterile environment and assisting in various surgical procedures. This position is integral to providing compassionate care, positively impacting patients and their families in Mooresville, North Carolina. The role requires expertise in sterile techniques and an understanding of multiple surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a sterile field during surgical operations.
  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
  • Assist surgeons and registered nurses during operations by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
  • Label laboratory specimens accurately for proper processing.
  • Reinforce safety measures and adherence to sterile techniques throughout the surgery.
  • Participate in the preparation and cleanup of the operating room before and after procedures.

Qualifications

  • A valid Surgical Technologist certification or relevant experience in a surgical environment.
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and understanding of surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, their families, and surgical staff.
